Peter, Paul & Mary – Album 1700 – Analogue Productions 180g 45 RPM Vinyl

£75.00
This is a phenomenal reissue of a significant album for the famed folk rock trio. Album 1700, released in 1967, yielded the group's final hit single (and only No. 1), "Leaving on a Jet Plane." It also yielded graceful folk-rock trappings for their repertoire of originals and covers by, among others, Bob Dylan and Eric Anderson, writes David Wolf for Amazon.com.

Pharoah Sanders – Shukuru – Pure Pleasure Records 180g Vinyl LP

£39.95
Pharoah Sanders’ “Shukuru” is noteworthy as being the album that reunited Sanders with vocalist Leon Thomas, who sang on some of Sanders’ most endearing and powerful compositions– among them the legendary “The Creator Has a Masterplan”. Thomas only joins the band on two tracks– “Mas in Brooklyn (Highlife)” and “Sun Song”. The former gets a full calypso reading complete with steel drum sounds and chanted vocals traded between Sanders and Thomas. It’s a lot of fun, but by and large, throwaway. The latter is one of the true gems on the album– a pretty ballad that serves as both a launching point for Sanders’ best balladry and Thomas’ vocal, with the latter soaring in his upper register wordlessly between verses intoned in his trademark baritone. It’s by and large simply stunning.

Pharoah Sanders – Live – Theresa Records 180 Vinyl 2 LP Gatefold Sleeve

£49.95
This album features Pharoah Sanders playing some no-nonsense tenor in a quartet with pianist John Hicks, bassist Walter Booker, and drummer Idris Muhammad. Sanders performs “It’s Easy to Remember” (in a style very reminiscent of early-’60s John Coltrane), an original blues, and two of his compositions, including the passionate “You’ve Got to Have Freedom.”
The musicianship is at a high level and, although Sanders does not shriek as much as one might hope (the Trane-ish influence was particularly strong during this relatively mellow period), he is in fine form. Review by Scott Yanow/AMG

Prestige All Stars, The Tenor Conclave – Analogue Productions 180g Vinyl LP

£45.00
This unusual meeting of four tenor saxophone players from different “schools” was part of the Prestige Friday afternoon jam session series but far from a typical outing. The giant forebears of Coleman Hawkins, Lester Young, and Charlie Parker inform the backgrounds of the performers on this LP — Hank Mobley, Al Cohn, Zoot Sims, and John Coltrane — and other influences such as Ben Webster, Dexter Gordon, and the Sonnys (Stitt and Rollins) show up, too, depending on which of the four protagonists you’re talking about.

Pro-Ject VC-S3 Record cleaning machine

£499.00
The new Pro-Ject VC-S3 is a new premium record cleaning machine with completely new superior features. Vinyl records need a specific maintenance. The dry brush cleaning before playing the record is good to roughly remove dust. To effectively clean the grooves you need to wet clean the record. To achieve the perfect cleaning you also need a suitable cleaning fluid. Alcoholic cleaning fluids can destroy musical micro information of the grooves. So also available is a our new eco-friendly non-alcoholic cleaning fluid called Wash it 2. The new Wash it 2 is a pre-mixed liquid, so you don‘t have to dilute the concentrate yourself anymore. This avoids accidentally using unsuitable tap water for mixing.
