Foreigner – Foreigner – Analogue Productions Atlantic 75 Series 45 rpm 180g Vinyl

£70.00
IN STOCK!
Arena rock heroes Foreigner crushed with their 1977 self-titled album debut, spawning some of the biggest FM hits of that year, including the anthemic "Feels Like the First Time" and "Cold as Ice," both of which were anchored — like most of Foreigner's songs — by the muscular but traditional riffing of guitarist Mick Jones, the soaring vocals of Lou Gramm, and the state-of-the-art rock production values of the day, which AllMusic reviewer Andy Hinds says allowed the band to sound hard but polished.

Analogue Productions (Atlantic Series) Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Atlantic Records! Foreigner’s No. 1-selling fourth studio album!
Throughout the course of three late-70s albums, Foreigner (along with Journey and Styx) was recognized as one of the top AOR bands of the era. But the band was still looking for that grand slam of a record that would push them to the very top of the heap.
Released in 1981, 4 would be that album, writes AllMusic.

Freddie Roach – Good Move (Blue Note Tone Poet Series) 180g Vinyl

£39.95
In the 1960s, Blue Note’s roster of organists was second to none with leading Hammond B3 practitioners like Jimmy Smith, Big John Patton, and Larry Young each honing their own distinctive styles on the instrument. Freddie Roach was first introduced to Blue Note listeners on Ike Quebec’s albums Heavy Soul and It Might As Well Be Spring and soon began his own run of leader dates for the label including the 1963 standout Good Move featuring Blue Mitchell on trumpet, Hank Mobley on tenor saxophone, Eddie Wright on guitar, and Clarence Johnston on drums. This soul jazz classic makes all the right moves with set highlights including “When Malindy Sings,” an Oscar Brown song that was performed by Abbey Lincoln, and Roach’s own church-rooted “Wine, Wine, Wine” and “On Our Way Up,” an uplifting anthem that he wrote on the day of the historic March on Washington.

Gregg Allman – Midnight Rider / These Days – Analogue Productions 45 rpm Vinyl Single

£30.00
Gregg Allman’s pained, growling voice joins with horns and gospelish backing vocals to add a personal, often mournful feel on songs on Laid Back. Radio response was strong to the opening track, the loping remake of “Midnight Rider.” It’s a convincing version of the man’s music.
